Man, I just love catching up with folks I’ve had in front of my camera before. I photographed Nico and Annique’s wedding back in 2014 on a cold, rainy day in Durbanville. Two things stand out in my mind about this gorgeous couple’s wedding day…their lets-have-fun-even-though-the-weather-is-horrible-attitude, and Annique’s brown ombre mud covered wedding dress!
This time though, I got to have them in front of my camera as a beautiful family of four, on a absolutely gorgeous sunny autumns day! At first the shoot was scheduled to take place in Riversdale, which would have been a nice half way stop from the Cape to Plett for the Boon family. But work things delayed their departure and so the shoot in Riversdale fell through. But as it was the start of the school holidays- we were also on our way to the Eastern Cape and so would be passing by Plett. A quick change of plans, and an super early departure meant we could meet up with the Boons early morning at the Beacon Isle hotel. And what a delight that was!
